What we keep,
and why.
Last updated 1 October 2026.
What we store about you
Your name, WhatsApp number and email address, so that we can save your work and send you your invitation. Everything you put on the invitation itself — names, dates, venues, the words, photographs and music. Your order: its reference, amount, payment status and where it has reached.
What we store about your guests
When a guest answers your RSVP we keep the name they gave, their phone number if they entered one, whether they are coming, how many people, and any message. That belongs to you — it is your guest list, shown to you in your dashboard and exported to you as a spreadsheet whenever you ask.
We also store a one-way hash of the submitting device’s IP address, used only to stop the same form being submitted a hundred times by a bot. It cannot be turned back into an address and is never shown to anyone.
What we do not do
We do not sell anything to anyone, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not put your invitation or your guest list in front of any third party for marketing. There is no analytics script following your guests around.
Where it lives
On Cloudflare’s infrastructure, in a database located in the Asia-Pacific region. Cloudflare processes it on our behalf and under their own terms.
How long we keep it
An invitation stops being reachable 3 months after it is delivered. We keep the order record and the RSVP list beyond that so we can help you if you come back, and so our own books make sense. Ask us to delete any of it and we will — that is your right, and it is also two minutes of work.
Cookies
We set one small cookie while you are building an invitation, which remembers that this browser is allowed to edit that draft. The invitation itself uses your browser’s own storage to remember whether you have already opened the card, so the curtain does not part twice. Neither is used to track anybody.
Your invitation is reachable by its link
Invitations are kept out of search engines and out of our sitemap, but anyone holding the link can open the card. That is the point of it — it is what gets forwarded to your guests — but it is worth knowing that a link is not a password.
Asking us anything
Message us on WhatsApp or at @thecoderinvites on Instagram to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.
